Through Iwastology, students from Montalban, Philippines and Montreal Canada make films investigating issues of waste management in their community, and periodically share these films during collaborative skype sessions. Run by the Silid Aralan school network, Filipino Iwastologists have organized a school-wide compost program and the first environmental film festival in Montalban.
Through specialized classes in documentary filmmaking, both groups of Iwastologists meet periodically on Skype to discuss their projects and share their stories.
